Recycling Outreach Intern — WM Recycle Corps (Waste Management)

Overview: Selected for WM's competitive collegiate internship program (12 students across the Puget Sound), delivering hands-on recycling and waste reduction education to over 20 communities.
What I did:
- Educated residents, businesses, and property managers one-on-one on recycling, composting, and waste reduction practices
- Represented WM at community events, public festivals, and multifamily residences
- Answered public questions on WM's recycling/composting programs, translating technical waste-stream knowledge into accessible guidance
- Worked in two-person field teams across a fast-paced, variable environment, adapting messaging to different audiences and settings
